People mark up my flyers and notices all the time. At first I took
offense until I realized they marked up everything, staff notices,
union notices. In my building it's just an immature person trying to
get attention. I don't grant it.

You and I both know you're doing a great job. And for the record our

again, I don't do it for recognition. Our families and residents let

[Supertraining] Re: Can the fastest movement be more spatially accurate than a slightly slower one?

Thursday, 24 January 2008      0 comments

Thanks Keith for your imput,

I'll ask our professors if there is bases for an experiment on "speed-
accuracy trade-off". I'd like to use a golf shot and vary level of
skillfulness and also simulator vs driving range. (Skillfulness might
something like hcp over 36, 13 - 18, and under 8?)

I have to read more about this.

[activityleadershipforseniors] Resident Council Minutes

I'm wondering what everyone does with their Resident Council Minutes.
Do you only forward them to department heads and let them get the
information out, do you post them where all staff can read them, do
you have them available but not posted, do you keep them confidential
and not accessible to staff? We're having a debate about whether or
not staff should have free access to them. I keep my Minutes on the
computer and whenever I forward them to department heads I highlight
the names of those in attendance in black so that the Attendees remain
private. If there needs to be follow up with a particular person, I
can remove the black highlight to reveal the name(s). Just thought I
would take a survey of what ya'll do with your Minutes as far as
follow up and getting issues out to staff. I always make it clear that
the meetings are confidential unless patients want someone in
particular in attendance. That's so they can feel free to speak
without worries of reprisal. Thanks----- coster

[activityleadershipforseniors] Re: Leap Year Party

We thought about the frog theme but we also thought about an "Extra
Day" where our patients could have an extra of different things.
Maybe an extra ten minutes in the whirlpool tub, an extra pair of
snuggly slippers, and extra blanket, and extra dessert (if allowed),
etc. We could throw in extras also to the normal routine: a scented
lotion after bath instead of the hospital issued, carnations on the
breakfast tray, etc. Any other suggestions for extra things? Of
course we need to be careful with food items but we might go with
an "Extra Day". --Have a good day----- coster

[Plagio] Outgrew helmet

Kyler graduated from his helmet last Thursday! I knew he was close to
being done because his head looked so good and the helmet wasn't quite
fitting right any more. When they measured him he had actually outgrown
the helmet! In 12 weeks his official measurements went from 9mm to
2.8mm and 84% CI to 82%. Even though he was mild I am so happy we got
the script and went through with it. He looks amazing! Thanks to all on
the board - it is so nice to know all of you other plagio parents are
out there!

Re: [SPAM]Re: [Plagio] Re: Car Seats

it is also very difficult to adjust rearfacing thus why I didnt recommend it, I had the triumph and took it back b/c the adjustment was pressed up against the seat rearfacing and next to impossible to turn

With any recall, I'm sure that it is only a certain batch that is

should have paid for the new seat you needed to get or send
replacement parts (maybe they did???)

Lisa

PS: Definitely try out the seats...the Evenflo got good ratings;
however, it was very difficult for me to figure out in the store
which is why I didn't get it.

old loves it. It is in the booster seat section at babiesrus.com.
It goes from 22 to65 lbs with the 5 point harness and then 40
to100lbs with a regular seat belt. I dont know how old your baby is
or is they are able to seat forward seating yet but if not another
good one is the Evenflo Triumph Advance Premier. I just got this for
my 8 month old and he loves it. Just a thought.

Re: [Plagio] SIDS and rented cribs

My son is now 19 months and has pretty much been a tummy sleeper
since 7.5 months. I do not go in and move him (even if he is
sleeping in a pac n play). The first few times he slept on his
tummy, I couldn't sleep but now I know that is how he likes to sleep
and if I were to flip him (even back at 7.5 months) then he'd be
awake and no one would be getting sleep. Honestly, I wouldn't worry
but if it makes you feel better then keep flipping him. Pac and Play
mattresses are perfectly safe.

Re: [Plagio] She was out of her helmet for 6 weeks...now she's back in it again.

Hannah (if you google hannah's noggin) is a child that I think
regressed at 15 months with no tort or any other "risks" for
regressing. Her mom is (or used to be?) a moderator here....her
name is Sarah. That is the only case of regression that I've heard
of without known causes and risk factors contributing (i.e. tort,
young, etc.)

Could you share where you are getting all this SIDS and sudden child

sids.

That said you can do so much and then you have to be realistic.
Just by not ever having the babya round 2nd hand smoke decreases
their risk by like 50%, and nots leeping on their tummy is the other
huge factor, the other factors are very small risks.
