[loveshy_drgilmartin] Valentine's Day Challenge

Saturday 9 February 2008      0 comments

So Valentine's Day is coming up, and I can already see the postings
titled "I don't have a girlfriend," "I am all alone," etc. So here is
a challenge for you all.

I look at the calendar of events in my area and I see 5 (five!) swing
dance events on the Valentine's Day weekend, singles-oriented, 3 with
live music, reasonably priced. I would guess that if you live in a
major metro area it would be similar for you. (I am not referring to
the couples-oriented events at clubs and hotels, etc.) So there is no
excuse unless you live in a very remote rural area.

The challenge is for everyone here to participate in at least one
event over the Valentine's Day weekend: a social dance, music concert,
art gallery visit, or an outdoor sport such as ice skating or
x-country skiing.

If you feel too uncomfortable going to a dance and asking women to
dance, then maybe you decide to get a few guys together and go out to
a bar and listen to the live rock band, or maybe just go bowling. It
doesn't matter as long as it is something that gets you out with other
people. But if you feel courageous you might try something more
challenging.

Let's see how many people can join into some event and post here.

Good luck!
