[activityleadershipforseniors] Sensory lighting

Tuesday, 5 February 2008      0 comments

I am looking for lighting similar to snoozelen rooms but for less
cost. In other words inexpensive yet effective eye catching lamps to
be used periodically for a sensory experience for low functioning
residents.

In another facility I worked in I bought several tall fairly sturdy
plastic pretend fish ltanks that had pretend fish, multicolored light
and bubbles.

I bought them at Walgreen's about 8 years ago.

More recently, 2 years ago, I bought pretend fish tanks at AC Moore .
They were smaller about 1 foot by 1 foot. They too had pretend fish,
were plastic with just regular white light and bubbles.

Has anyone seen anything like the above described lately?

Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated
Thanks
