if that is the case it may be that she is not used to the chemicals (in shampoo) so they are drying her scalp, whcih means she eitherw ill get used to it or it will come back. if it comes back, to prevent it you can try using the aveeno less frequently, only 2-3 times a week and the other days use (or you could use the other stuff every day but I liked using a smelly shampoo once or twice a week) something that is sodium lauryl/laureth free. we used burts bees baby shampoo but I know california baby is sls free too and target now carries that

I didn't used to wash her hair every day, just every other. But I have used the advice of the baby oil and then combing her hair, followed by washing it and it has seemed to clear up.Thanks everyone who commented!!!are you washing her hair daily? did you before the band? have you switched soaps?

Hello everyone,I am new to the group and have enjoyed reading all the questions and answers and the encouragment that has been going on. My daughter Lily (5 months toady) has been in her Starband for a week now and everything has been going smoothly, but her head as of today has started to get a little "flakey". I have been using the Aveno baby shampoo, but is there anything else anybody recommends? I would really appreciate it. Thanks!!Kari in CA.
