I believe there are love-shy women. It's just that it doesn't effect
them as much. Being shy, passive and acting coy are typical female
courting behavior traits, so love-shy women are able to marry in most
cases. The big problem with love-shy women is that they will likely
pass the condition on to their sons.
Also women's brains are more socially wired than men's, so women can
mask it and deal with it better.
I haven't met enough female love-shys to draw conclusions, but I
suspect women bury their love-shyness more than males. Something
about the subject itself seems to turn women off. So men are more
likely to admit and accept that they have the condition.
