people do fall down... regardless of their station in life.
Not long ago, I read a story about an airline pilot who was homeless on the street of a city in the NW United States.
He had become an active alcoholic, his marriage ended, as did his career as a pilot.
In a year or so he went from being a man drawing well over 100,000 dollars years to a man with nothing.
We are "told" that certain types of people don't fall in life as their station somehow confers them some sort of protection.
The best thing that I can say about this is that it is a lie. IT is a mean spirited lie in fact and helps some people feel that they can sink down in their habits and somehow get a "pass". In time, however they too fall. It's like gravity. There is no pass.
If we lie enough we become a liar
If we use enough we become users.
If we cheat...
If we drug...
If we drink...
If....
We can all fall.
I hope that he understood this in time and climbed out of the hole with some support.M
