Re: [Plagio] Torticollis after helmet?

Thanks Tammy. I've got an eval for him on 2/7 as of this morning. I
guess ped PTs are sort of scarce around here but I was able to sign
up in advance for regular visits assuming it is tort. I will most
certainly do whatever I need to do but was wondering if anyone had to
go through this with an "older" child and if there are any tricks to
making it more fun for them (and me!). I'm sure I'll figure it out!

him. If he does not get rid of the tort, I am told that other kids
start to notice at age 2 or so and make comments. They are also at a
disadvantage with sports and are slow with motor skills. Correcting
now is the key. A good pt will see you once a week and then have you
follow up at least two times a day with stretches. Whether he likes
it or not it is necessary. Tort is serous and in some cases requires
an operation to cut the tight ligaments. Trust your intstincts and
get in there now. Tammy
