The mission of the International Society of Cardiovascular Translational Research is to provide an environment for collaboration and guidance among basic and clinical scientists, expedite scientific discoveries into clinical application, disseminate the science among the scientific community, promote research, development and application of standards and guidelines,influence health care policy and educate the public.
| Dear Friends and Colleagues, Welcome to the Inaugural Meeting of the International Society of the Cardiovascular Translational Research Society to be held February 9th and 10th at the Hotel del Coronado in San Diego, California. The goal of this meeting is to bring together leaders in separate disciplines to discuss and highlight strategies for open collaboration to expedite scientific discoveries into clinical application and make clear progress in the steps towards evidence based medicine. The Journal of Cardiovascular Translational Research, supported by Springer, will be launched at this time to provide a forum for continued engagement and interaction among the disciplines.
