[activityleadershipforseniors] Activity tablecloth instructions

Thursday 17 January 2008      0 comments

The Activity table cloth is made from (preferably) rubber-backed
upholstery fabric. Four "triangles" are made and then sewn together
to form the entire table cloth.
Each triangle has a different activity on it. One might have various
patches of material sewn on it for a sensory experience – satin,
corduroy, etc… One can be ribbons sewn on that can be tied and
untied. One can have "mittens" sewn onto it, so that a resident may
slip their hands into it. Another can have pockets with flap closures
or zippers, where trinkets can be hidden and "discovered." Another
idea: one section can have a "clothesline" attached to it with
clothespins to attach and detach. (Hope this all makes sense.)
